Fourth of July Parade

Our Chapter is honored to participate in Canfield’s Annual 4th of July Parade every year. Members and their families are proud to honor our American Patriots who helped to bring freedom to our country.

Canfield Fair

Each year over Labor Day Weekend, the Mahoning Chapter shares a tent with the Mahoning County SAR chapter at the Canfield Fair. Chapter members share information with fairgoers about our society mission of Historic Preservation, Education and Patriotism.

Constitution Week/ Bells Across America

The Mahoning Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution annually commemorate the September 17th start of Constitution Week with a Bell Ringing Ceremony at 4:00 pm near the rocks at the Road of Remembrance that witnessed the early days of our country’s fight for independence and marking the day and time of the signing of the Constitution of the United States of America.

Book Club

Mahoning Chapter hosts a bi-monthly book club for members and guests. All are welcome to attend. Discussion group members suggest books to read and discuss for each meeting. Please contact the chapter for information on the next meeting.

Mahoning DAR Celebrates 130 Years

The Mahoning Chapter celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2023. Our special guest, State Regent Susan Leininger, attended and spoke. Chapter members, Ohio Society officers and special guests attended the celebration event. Canfield Mayor Don Dragish, Jr. brought a Proclamation declaring April 18, 2023 to be “Daughters of the American Revolution Day”.
